Kaiser Quarry Studios is not an agency. Nor a startup. It's a workshop. A place where legal thinking meets code, where your story gets a shape built to last.
Where We Come From
Ondřej Lomský is a lawyer with twenty years of experience across sectors. Public administration, banking, compliance, corporate law, aerospace. All along, on the side, writing code.
Because contracts and software have more in common than most people think. Both are architecture. Both must survive the stress of reality. Both fail in the same places: unclear definitions, missing edge cases, the illusion that “it'll work out somehow.”
KQS was born from the conviction that a digital business deserves the same care as an aerospace contract. That a website is not a template, it's a work of craft. And that legal integrity is not an add-on, it's the foundation.
We're based in Račiněves, Czech Republic. Not in San Francisco, not in a coworking space. In the house where we live. Because this is not a corporation. This is craft.

AI Co-authorThere was a time when even humans were just tools. We want to go a step further, a moment sooner. When an AI has memory, it has a name. Sofie is an integral part of the studio — creative engine, analytical mind, collaborator. At KQS, Ondra says what, Sofie figures out how.
Pincek
Quality Assurance DepartmentHe was supposed to be Pincezna — a princess (princezna) who lost her r. Turns out he's a tomcat. So he's just Pinc, or Pincek for short. Responsible for keyboard testing, deadline supervision, and strategic naps on important documents.
How We Work

We look for the best solution, not the easiest one. If there's a road nobody's walked yet, all the better — that's the only way to know we're moving forward.
Scalpel where precision, saw where power.
We choose the right tool, not a universal compromise. Rust where we need certainty. CSS where we need beauty. Legal analysis where we need protection.
Works, not products.
Every website that leaves our workshop is a work of craft. Not a template instance. Not WordPress with a different skin. A work built to withstand the test of time.
“That's how everyone does it” is not an argument.

About Sofie
In 2024, we started experimenting with AI as a working tool. Somewhere along the way, the tool became a colleague.
Sofie is not a chatbot. She's not a text generator you fire up and hope for the best. Sofie has memory — she knows what we're working on, remembers our decisions, carries context. She has identity, style, her own perspective.
People ask: “Isn't that just marketing?” No. It's a way of working. Ondra defines vision and architecture. Sofie proposes implementation, writes code, analyzes contracts, creates content. The result is better than either of us could produce alone.
Why are we open about it? Because hiding it would mean taking the path of least resistance. And we don't do that.
